Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.

Children who have been in local-authority care for 1 day or more also attract pupil premium funding. Funding for these pupils doesn’t go to their school; it goes to the virtual school head (VSH) in the local authority that looks after the child. VSH's are responsible for managing pupil premium funding for looked-after children.

Schools are required to publish details of their Pupil Premium allocation, how they plan to spend the allocation in the current year, how the previous year's allocation was spent and the effect of the expenditure on the attainment of those pupils for whom the funding was allocated. Please use the links to the documents below for Pupil Premium Expenditure Reports for North Cotes CE Primary and also our 3 year strategy for the Federation.
