The children have enjoyed the first week of our new topic, and have used their senses to explore various plants around the school.

We were surprised to see how many different plants were around the school grounds when we went for our nature walk, and discussed how some plants are used for medicine, whilst others are used for perfume.

The children enjoyed using cotton buds for observational painting, and Mrs Payne was extrememly impressed with the concentration that they displayed whilst looking at the shapes and sizes of the leaves and petals on each plant.
