Super Gardeners

What an exciting term we've had so far!

Class 1 have been learning about the lifecycle of a plant, as well as it's parts and what it needs to grow.

We began our topic by going on a nature walk; looking for signs of Spring and noticed that plants, including trees, have roots, stems, leaves and flowers.

We also discussed how plants need sunlight to make their food and how water and nutrients from the soil are absorbed by the roots.

The children have put their learning into practise by planting some seeds, including cress, beans, sunflowers, pumpkins and wild flowers, and have been responsible for looking after their plants.

I wonder who will win the sunflower competition?
