The children have had great fun exploring the anatomy and lifecycle of a pumpkin, and just for fun we decided to make the pumpkin 'erupt' by mixing vinegar, washing-up liquid and baking soda! We talked about how the chemicals produced Carbon dioxide, which caused the frothing. Great work Class 1 scientists!
