Lest We Forget

We have been learning about WW1, and how important it is to remember the brave soldiers that died so that we could have peace and freedom.

We have read poetry, in particularly 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrae, to learn about the significance of the poppy, and have compiled an Acrostic Poem as a class which was bravely read out by one of the children at our Remembrance afternoon tea on Thursday.

The children also chose their own materials and made these lovely poppies!

Well done Class 1, it's been a great week!
